Softening the drinking water reduces the consumption of cleaning chemicals on the inking unit, but also on the corrugated rollers on the corrugator.
Furthermore, there is no build-up of limescale in the cells of the anilox roller, so that the interval for intensive cleaning of the anilox rollers is extended when using softened water.
